Chapter 8

Jurnee

My pussy was so sore the next morning, but I still wanted more of Kofi. However, I opted to give him some head instead. I needed some time to recuperate. The hotel suite was so spacious and immaculately decorated, but I didn’t get the chance to really appreciate all the amenities before Kofi swept me away. We ended up at a jewelry store for yet another surprise.

“Macias,” Kofi cheerfully greeted the Greek jeweler who was all smiles.

He knew him on a first name basis. Did he go to Greece that much? I wondered if he had ever brought another woman with him. Jealousy pierced my heart at the mere thought. I had decided to not keep pushing him, but I still wondered why he had ended that call the other night.

“Mr. Alvaro. It’s been a long while, my friend.” Macias shook Kofi’s hand jovially before going back behind the glass jewelry case.

“It has.” He put his hand on the small of my back. “This is my beautiful lady, Jurnee. I want to get something special for her.”

Macias’s eyes brightened and his brows rose. “Engagement?”

Chuckling, Kofi said, “Not yet, but something special to symbolize my commitment.”

“Well, okay.” Macias looked at me. “What do you have in mind, miss?”

“Uh,” I glanced over at Kofi.

“Whatever you want, star.”

“Well, a ring would be nice, but like you said, we’re not getting engaged just yet, so a bracelet or necklace will do.”

“Okay… hmm… what stones do you like and what setting?”

“I love diamonds of course, but I also love rubies, and emeralds.”

“I have the perfect bracelet set in platinum. It’s made of diamonds, rubies, and emeralds.”

Macias walked off to the back and then returned with a white, velvet box. When he opened the box, I was instantly in love.

“It’s so beautiful.”

Kofi put it on for me, and I held my wrist out taking in how the extravagant bracelet shimmered in the light.

“Is this the one, star?”

“Yes,” I beamed before giving him a kiss on the cheek. “I love it.”

“Okay, it’s yours, baby.”

“Thank you, Kofi.”

Macias didn’t even mention how much the bracelet cost, and Kofi simply handed him a credit card. As much as I wanted to know how much it was, there was no price tag on it, and Macias didn’t ring it up on a cash register.

When we left, I asked, “Did he say how much the bracelet cost?”

“Don’t worry about that,” he told me with a chuckle.

“I’m not worried. I’m just curious.”

“Just know that all the stones are real, and it was worth every penny to see you happy.”

“Okay.” I sighed as he grabbed my hand.

“You hungry? Want to grab something to eat before we go back to the boat? The crew is off since it’s our last night here.”

“Yeah, because I’m definitely not cooking on vacation.”

We both laughed, and all I could think about was how real shit was going to get when we got back to the US. The reality of Jaz’s situation hit me like a ton of bricks because she would be returning to Miami to be a pain in my ass.
